ABOUT DR. JAN WEINER

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Specialist
Dr. Jan Weiner received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Michigan in 2003. She received her doctoral training in Biopsychology/Behavioral Neuroscience from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York where she investigated gender differences in the neurological responses involved in addiction. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience/Psychology in 2007.
She received three years postdoctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Hofstra University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in 2010 at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy. For seven years, Dr. Jan Weiner continued her career at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy as a senior staff member/licensed clinical psychologist/OCD expert, and supervisor of all Masters' Level psychology interns. In 2016, Dr. Jan Weiner started her own practice in Midtown Manhattan. In 2020, Dr. Jan Weiner became an advisory board member for Made of Millions, a mental health advocacy organization. Since 2021, Dr. Jan Weiner is currently the director and managing partner at North Jersey Psychology Associates, a private practice focusing on anxiety and OCD-related disorders.
Dr. Jan Weiner taught for over 12 years at both Queens College and Hunter College, teaching psychology and neuroscience at both the undergraduate and graduate level. She also supervised interns at Yeshiva University Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology Parnes Clinic from 2017-2019.
Dr. Jan Weiner was also a Critical Response Consultant for R3 Continuum where she conducts on-site critical incident response services in the workplace including 1:1 supportive interactions, educational and interactive group briefin, and psycho-education applicable to the immediate aftermath of a critical incident. She also consults directly with corporations on how to promote mental health, resiliency, and self-care techniques to management and employees.
