Dr. Jan Weiner received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Michigan.  She received her doctoral training in Biopsychology/Behavioral Neuroscience from The Graduate Center o​f the City University of New York where she investigated gender differences in the neurological responses involved in addiction.  She graduated with her Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience/Psychology.

Dr. Jan Weiner received three years postdoctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Hofstra University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy.  Dr. Jan Weiner continued her career at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy as a senior staff member/licensed clinical psychologist/OCD expert, and supervisor of all Masters' Level psychology interns.   

 

Dr. Jan Weiner eventually started her own private practice in Midtown Manhattan and became an advisory board member for Made of Millions, a mental health advocacy organization.

Currently, Dr.  Jan Weiner is the co-director and managing partner at The Anxiety Center at North Jersey Psychology Associates, a private practice focusing on anxiety and OCD-related disorders.

Dr. Jan Weiner taught at both Queens College and Hunter College, teaching psychology and neuroscience at both the undergraduate and graduate level.  She also supervised interns at Yeshiva University Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology Parnes Clinic.
